Avignon to Florence

After leaving Lyon, we made our way to Nice. Before reaching Nice, we had a stop at the city of Avignon. A brief walk around the city and the Papal Palace, before a quick meal, and then back on the coach to Nice. We were greeted by white beaches, and blue water in Nice, and wonderful buildings. A quick change of clothes, and we were off to Monaco for dinner. After taking a few photos of this glamorous city, moved on to dinner, and were a stones throw away from the Royal Palace. It was hard to leave the resurant, but the famous Casinos were beckoning. I had a go at the Bljackjack tables, and managed a small win.

We next day was ours to explore Nice at leisure. A few people visited Cannes, but I decided to wander the back streets and walk along the beaches.

We left Nice the next day, and on the way to Florence we stopped at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I cannot believe it is still standing. We arrved in Florence late in the afternoon and were taken to a lookout for the Group Photo. Next stop was a wonderful dinner, before partying on at Space Electronica.

Next morning, we visited a leather demonstration, before joining our guided walking tour of the city starting at Piazza della Signora. We saw The Duomo, and Santa Croce, but I had a goal to visit Ponte Vecchio. After braving the heat, I thought I would come out at the famous landmark, but I was in the wrong place. Rushed back through the centre of Florence, I met up with the group on the steps of Santa Croce, and we were off to Rome.
